Powerwall 3 is Tesla's current home battery: 13.5 kWh per unit with a built-in 11.5 kW solar inverter. The integrated inverter means new solar installs skip a separate string inverter, simplifying the system and reducing total cost.
We install Powerwall 3 as a new solar inverter, AC-coupled with existing solar, or standalone for backup-only setups. All three configurations are common across our Connecticut customer base.
