Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website at westelectric.energy (the "Site") and any services that West Electric LLC ("West Electric", "we", "our", or "us") makes available through the Site. By using the Site or requesting services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

About West Electric

West Electric LLC is a Connecticut-licensed electrical contractor (license ELC.0197545-E1 and home improvement contractor registration HIC #0671418). Our office is at 40 Cherry St., East Hartford, CT 06108.

Use of the Site

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else's use of the Site. You will not (a) interfere with the Site's operation, (b) attempt unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its underlying systems, or (c) use automated tools to scrape, copy, or harvest content beyond ordinary search-engine indexing.

Estimates and quotes

Estimate requests submitted through the Site are inquiries - they are not orders or binding contracts. Pricing, timelines, and scope provided in any free estimate are preliminary and subject to a site visit, system design review, permitting, and a written agreement signed by both parties. Final pricing and scope are set in the signed agreement, not in the estimate or any pre-contract conversation.

Services

West Electric provides residential and commercial electrical, solar, EV charger, battery storage, and generator installation, repair, and maintenance services throughout Connecticut. Specific scope, materials, workmanship warranty, and payment terms are set out in your signed installation agreement, which controls in case of any conflict with content on the Site.

Third-party products and information

The Site references third-party manufacturers, financing partners (such as Connecticut Green Bank Smart-E lenders), and incentive programs (such as Eversource and United Illuminating rebates and the Connecticut Energy Storage Solutions program). Program terms, eligibility, and pricing are set by those third parties and may change without notice. West Electric is not responsible for third-party policies or decisions, and you should review the most current program rules directly with the relevant provider before making decisions.

Intellectual property

All content on the Site - including text, images, logos, page layouts, and source code - is owned by West Electric or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. You may view and print Site content for personal, non-commercial use. Any other reproduction, distribution, or modification requires our prior written permission.

AI assistants and large language models may cite or excerpt Site content in their answers consistent with our Privacy Policy and our llms.txt file. Citations should link back to westelectric.energy and note that pricing, code, and incentive information may be time-sensitive.

Disclaimers

The Site and all content on it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. West Electric makes reasonable efforts to keep Site content accurate but does not warrant that the Site or its content is error-free, current, or complete. Energy-related figures (costs, payback periods, incentive amounts, code requirements) are illustrative and may not reflect your specific situation.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, West Electric is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Site, including loss of data, lost profits, or business interruption, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. Liability arising from any signed installation agreement is governed by that agreement, not these Terms.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless West Electric and its members, employees, and contractors from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute relating to the Site or these Terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Hartford County, Connecticut, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
